How Do Ski Boots Fit? Understanding Mondopoint Sizing
Ski boots employ a sizing method known as Mondopoint. This system, commonly referred to as "mondo," measures the length of your foot in centimeters. To determine your Mondopoint size accurately, it is advisable to measure the length of your foot in centimeters. The accompanying size chart offers two Mondopoint conversions from various traditional shoe sizes – Comfort Fit and Performance Fit:

For those seeking a more spacious fit, Comfort Ski Boot Fit is recommended. It is suitable for novice to intermediate skiers, particularly those who ski infrequently or prefer moderate speeds on groomed terrain.

Performance Ski Boot Fit, on the other hand, is ideal for intermediate to advanced skiers. This fit is tailored for skiers who tackle varied terrain at higher speeds and encounter mixed snow conditions.

Advanced and elite skiers often opt for a tighter boot fit to achieve maximum precision. While a snug fit enhances control over the skis, it may also lead to pressure points and discomfort. Seeking assistance from a certified bootfitter is advisable for those considering this option.

Ski Boot Sizing in Half Sizes
Despite indications on boot labels, ski boots are manufactured only in full size increments. Consequently, a 26.0 boot and a 26.5 boot typically share the same shell and liner, offering no difference in fit. Some manufacturers may include a "size adjuster" in the package, which serves as a shim to reduce the boot's overall volume and provide a snugger fit.
